Columbus Museum weddings always promise to be stunning events, and Olivia and Cody's wedding was no exception. From the first look to the final dance, every moment of this Columbus Museum of Art wedding was filled with love, joy, and a touch of elegance.

A Love Story Years in the Making

Olivia and Cody's journey to their wedding day is a true high school sweetheart story. Introduced by one of their groomsmen, they have been inseparable ever since.

Despite the challenges of a long-distance relationship during medical school, their love only grew stronger. Today, they are both resident physicians, finally living together, and starting this exciting new chapter as husband and wife.

The first look between Olivia and Cody was a truly magical moment. They completely forgot about everything around them, including me, and got lost in each other's presence. Keep scrolling because Cody's reaction to seeing his bride truly was priceless; he couldn't take his eyes off her, continuously holding and kissing her hand throughout the day.

A Beautiful Summer Day for a Columbus Museum Wedding

The weather couldn't have been more perfect for their summer wedding. The sun was shining brightly, reflecting the excitement and emotions of the day.

Edwards Court at the Columbus Museum of Art provided a breathtaking backdrop for their ceremony. Guests then strolled to the Patricia M. Jurgensen Sculpture Garden for a romantic cocktail reception set amidst the garden's enchanting surroundings.

The most dapper ring bearer stole the show in his miniature suit, bringing smiles and laughter to the ceremony. As Olivia walked down the aisle, Cody’s face lit up with pure joy, his eyes locked on her with admiration.

During the ceremony, when the couple looked out at their loved ones, they were met with a sea of glowing faces. Many smiling, teary-eyed, and filled with excitement for the moment they were to say “I do”.

This was one of those moments during the day when you just step back and take it all in. Love filled every inch of this room and you could feel it.

An Elegant and Lively Columbus Wedding Reception at the Schottenstein Pavilion

The Schottenstein Property Group Pavilion set the stage for an unforgettable reception. The room’s modern design, featuring light wood floors, skylights, and a wall of glass, let the natural summer light beautifully illuminate the reception.

It’s a perfect backdrop for bringing your Columbus museum wedding vision to life.

Olivia and Cody chose the Columbus Museum of Art for its stunning architecture and versatile spaces.

They wanted their guests to have an amazing experience throughout the day, and the museum's beautiful setting did not disappoint.

From the lush floral arrangements lining the ceremony aisle to the elegant reception decor, every detail was thoughtfully planned to complement the venue's sophisticated vibe.

Timeless Elegance and Personal Touches

The wedding party looked absolutely stunning. The bridesmaids wore champagne-colored satin dresses, each with a unique cut and style, while the groomsmen were dapper in black tuxes with bow ties.

The classic black and white color palette, accented with touches of greenery, perfectly complemented the art museum's atmosphere.

The Perfect Summer Venue for a Columbus Museum Wedding

One of the standout decor items was the floral arch that framed Olivia and Cody during the ceremony.

Made of some of the most in-season blooms, white roses and baby's breath, it added a touch of romance and elegance to the already beautiful Edwards Court. Another memorable detail was the interactive drink station at the reception, featuring espresso martinis to keep the party energy high. The sign "Ring. Drink. Party." was a huge hit among guests

The Ultimate Hype Squad

Another heartwarming moment was during the cocktail hour when Olivia's friends ran up to embrace her. It was clear she had the ultimate hype team, surrounded by women who love and support her.

Celebrating the New Mr. and Mrs. into the Night

CMA always sets the scene for a stunning Columbus wedding reception, where modern elegance met high-energy celebration. With signature cocktails like Theo’s Gin and Tonic, a packed dance floor, and a live band fueling the fun, this reception was an unforgettable mix of sophistication and celebration.

Starling Studio’s Best Piece of Advice for Columbus Museum of Art Weddings

One unique suggestion I made was for Olivia to get dressed at the museum rather than at her hair and makeup location.

The Columbus Museum of Art has a stunning getting-ready space, and the photos from that part of the day turned out to be some of my favorites. Olivia looked absolutely radiant in the beautiful setting, and it added an extra touch of elegance to her bridal portraits.

A Perfect Ending

Olivia and Cody's wedding day was everything they dreamed of and more. From the heartfelt ceremony to the lively reception, every moment was a testament to their love and commitment to each other. It was an honor to capture their special day, and I couldn't be happier with how the photos turned out.

“These are the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. I have no words,” Olivia texted me after seeing the first batch of photos. Moments like these are why I love what I do.

If you're planning your own Columbus Museum wedding or any other special event, I'd love to help you preserve your most precious moments.
