Franklin Park Conservatory Engagement Session in Columbus, Oh

I’m not going to lie, I was entirely too excited about photographing this engagement session! I have never had the privilege to photograph a gay couple before now, so I couldn’t wait to work with Cliff and Christian. Let me just tell you, they were a DREAM in front of the camera and truly one of the sweetest couples. Their love for one another is undeniable and their zest for life is unparalleled. 

Cliff and Christian have been together for over 5 years and live in San Fransisco. On Christmas Eve Christian told Cliff they had dinner reservations at a French restaurant, but asked to stop at  Doloras Park, a favorite of theirs, for a quick snap shot with all the beautiful holiday lights. As you may guess, that is precisely where he got down on one knee and proposed!

After chatting with Christian on the phone and hearing about his love for parks and gardening, I suggested the Franklin Park Conservatory for their engagement photos. We had so much fun exploring the gardens in all their late summer glory!
