Columbus Wedding Vendors Helping After NOAH's Closing

Columbus Wedding Vendors Rally Together to Help!

There was some pretty devastating news in the wedding industry over this past weekend and it has my heart breaking for so many Columbus couples! NOAH’s Event Venue in New Albany suddenly closed its doors for good without any warning, leaving hundred of couples without a venue to hold their wedding. To make matters worse, according to ABC 6 News NOAH’s attorney Kenneth L. Cannon III said, “the chance of couples-to-be recovering any money from the bankruptcy proceedings is ‘highly unlikely.’”

Can you even imagine if you were two weeks away from your wedding day and had everything lined up and ready to go and then you receive the news that your venue is no longer open? I can’t wrap my head around it. So many couples are now left scrambling to re-work their wedding plans to accommodate this unexpected news.

However, there is a silver lining to this entire tragic story— the Columbus wedding vendor community is rallying together and putting their heart into helping ease the burden for these couples. I am just blown away by everyone’s generosity and am so proud to be part of such a wonderful group of small business owners.

I’ve been compiling a list of all the vendors that I’ve seen make posts on Instagram stories, within private facebook communities, listed on ABC 6 News, and more to help gather all the information for these couples I can find. Everyone in the Columbus wedding community truly just wants to help in anyway we possibly can. From venues, wedding planners, DJs, caterers, and photographers people are offering up their services to help the couples whose weddings have been displaced.

My hope is that no one will have to change their wedding date and that they can just find an alternative venue that will make their dreams come true, but if for whatever reason a new date is needed and your booked photographer is not available please reach out! I would love to extend the offer of a discounted wedding package to help offset the cost and if I’m not available or my style isn’t a good fit I can certainly help you find a photographer who is!

Below is the list I’ve compiled of vendors who have come forward looking to help couples who are affected by the closing of Noah’s. I will do my best to update this as new opportunities become available!

  • Aisle + Co is offering their service free of charge to be a resource for all who were effected. Natasha, the owner, is a place couples can go to get answers.

  • Berlyn Events & Design is willing to help couples file a claim with their insurance for reimbursement and/or match them with a venue with available dates.

  • Rooted Together is offering the first three couples to call a free coordination and helping find a venue and 50% off any package for couples beyond the first three.

  • Regarding Events is willing to get anyone into a venue and help reorganize their wedding.

  • Red Letter Day Events is offering one free coordination package for wedding dates before July 30, 2020 and $250 off services to any other NOAH’s couple.

  • Sweetie Girls Treatery is offering a 20% discount on weddings cakes

  • Postmark will 100% waive the venue rental fee ($2999) at our new venue for any former Noah’s clients getting married in 2020.
